heheh... considering Christophe's strange imagination -- I wouldn't be surprised if that's what he had in his fridge. :D

Totally different question on this. Looking for honest feedback of course. Anyone wanting to do so can comment directly to the image or PM, doesn't matter. I have been out of this game for a while.
I had two comments that pointed out that the "fridge" was not in the photograph and I get that totally. Should have taken a bit of a wider shot to show this perhaps. I appreciate comments like that so I can sit back and have a DOH! moment and realize the flaw. What I don't understand is the low score average from participants. Was the "fridge" issue that much of a part of the scoring or was there something else that I am missing? It is not a winning shot by any means, but I did think it was a pretty "tasty" image...LOL

Avg (commenters): 7.2500
Avg (participants): 4.9737
Avg (non-participants): 5.3131

There is no suggestion in the challenge description that it needst to be 'real life'. You are essentially misinterpretting the challenge description if you are inferring this, especially when the challenge description says to take the photo in a 'creative way'.

I m not misinterpretting anything. I really do interpret the world of photos in my way, and for me it's the "real life". Such as I like jazz music or classical music, and someone else like electronic music.

I'm not really interested in doing photos depicting reality, although I can appreciate them too. I'm using photography as a way to express my ideas and creativity: it is what I like, and I don't see why this would be "wrong", or less "pure" in any way.

Some people love J.S. Bach, some love Pink Floyd, some even love both. It's all music.

exactly, that's the point. Your photos are marvelous and you are a great photographer. I respect your hours in studio and all your ibbon. Don't get me wrong, for me you are great. Just I think a photo is a moment of reality, and not a moment of unreal life in a studio.

Gyban's photos are a moment of reality, his reality, we all create our own and you are ceating a pretty negetavie one for yourself by depicting things how you would like them to be, everybody is different and this site is no exception just go with the flow and chill out a bit, you will improve as a consequence in your photography and in everything else.

you are missing the point, what everyone is trying to say is just because we don't shoot your style doesn't make yours "real photography" and ours not.

Just like if you liked only liked Jazz that doesn't make it the only kind of "real music" classical, rock and roll, country music are different from Jazz but they are all still "real music"

I think you are being narrow minded, photography has many different forms, just like music and painting. Some people like abstract paintings others like them as realistic as photographs. But both are painting and both are art.

The only real loser in this game is you. You have so much to learn and benefit by trying different styles and learning to appreciate the hard work put into them. You will find your own style will benefit from it.

Exactly where was your compliment??? I must have missed it somewhere.

I should have worded loser differently, I meant you are losing out on some really good learning experiences by dismissing other types of photography.
