I just want to post a picture in a thread, when given the script promt I have no idea what url to put in. these pictures aren't posted anywhere but in my hard drive. Can someone please show me the way! |

You have to put your image somewhere online and then link to that image. If you were a paying member you could upload it into your portfolio that comes with membership and link from there. There are several free image sites available, although not all free websites allow the use of posting pics to external sites like this, but you could always link to it.
If you dont have a website then you should be able to use Tinypic to upload an image that you can link to.

you have to upload the images to the web. I have a website, so I just upload the images to the server then the url is my website.com/picturename I know there are sites that you can upload pictures to for free, so search around for those.

Thanks so much! That's what I thought I had to do, but I was hoping that maybe, just maybe I could link the folder on my harddrive... but alas, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and start paying for this awsome site. Maybe then I'll start to participate more here. I've just been sitting back and watching what goes on, waitin for the opportunity to jump in. Guess there's no time like the present! Thanks again guys... It's good to know there are some good people in a world so full of crap. |

Just remember that if you can't post a thumbnail that links to the full-size picture, please do not embed the image in to your posts with the [img] tags. Use the [url] tags to post a link to the picture instead. (Images hosted on TinyPic would qualify for linking instead of embedding since there is no thumbnail.) |

You can do what I did for the first three months and just pay the $5 per month. I did that in case I didn't stick it out. Of course, it cost me more money in the long run, since I wound up paying the $22 bucks (or whatever it is) eventually. $5 isn't much cake and you can pay with PayPal. Super easy. You'll be glad you did because the member challenges are very good. |
