Well, I sorta got a home studio setup now. It's pretty basic.. but it's fun for me to mess around and learn with.
I'd be interested in seeing some other members' setups. :@)

You know what's funny? My room in the barracks is smaller than your "home studio". Very unfair.

That's a great little setup you have there. I guess a potrait challenge would suit you :) I am interested in seing other setups to. Big or small doesn't matter. My desk lamps and other make shift means won't make interesting viewing.

That room's bigger than my house. I'd post a picture of my studio, but it looks alot like my living room. |

my studio is a bunch of different types of white and black packing materials, 2 60w halogen floods on an old broken tripod, and a pool table. the nice thing about it - is it all fits under the couch ;}
i also use the great outdoors quite abit when it's warm out.
when the room mates move out - i'll have a spare room to use as a bit more permanant studio / darkroom hopefully.

I feel you Chiqui. I'm in the Army and the 10 x 10 cell I have to share with my roommate leaves no room for walking, much less a studio. |

Jeez! I would LOVE to have that kind of space. Right now, my studio shares the room with various workout equipment and a gueen size guest bed. I think I need to explore my antisocial side and get rid of that guest bed :-o
What kinda lights do you have there, Visi? |

Well, at least here I don't have a ROOMmate, but a suite mate. We each have our room with separate entrances and we share a bathroom and a kitchenette.

I have 2 Britek 120WS strobes with modeling lights, 10' stands, and 32" white reflector umbrellas. Then I have a standard shop light that lets me swap out bulbs to illuminate the backdrop.
And the backdrop is just a sheet of muslin draped over a ping pong table. It's a pretty portable setup, both lights, stands and umbrellas fit into two compact carrying cases and setup takes less than 10 mins. |
