Those are all nice, but the Grand Daddy of all of those remains:
"People don't understand my artistic vision"

I didn’t crop close enough.
I don’t get enough comments to learn anything. |

The time change threw me off.
It's not the heat, it's the humidity.
Everybody hurts.
I just realised that all this time I haven't been using a camera, but a small shiny rodent.
I'm left handed.
These damn National Geographic assignments keep robbing me of my dpc time.
What does the "d" in dpc stand for anyway?
My Mom keeps taking credit for my pictures.

you vote - right ... ? :) I had that excuse in my head for a while until I realised I was part of the group I was assuming had no taste...

Everyone kept trying to hit the 'Previous' button, and kept hitting '1`.
It's the .jpg compression; it was fine on the camera.
I've taken so many pictures, my camera was tired.
My 'Update' trigger finger wiggled my camera (hence it's DPC's fault).
Cheers

These are all great... but my favorites in this thread:

I think I'll be borrowing from this thread after miniature ends ;-)

I vote too. But I'm an exception! I'm informed and have good taste, unlike the rest of the voters. |

Nobody understands me, ...least of all those who view my ART.
Everybody hates me, ...especially those who view my ART.

This OBVIOUSLY meets the challenge, but all my comments say it doesn't.
The only possible way I could shoot this was on Auto mode, at noon, and dead center- from eye level.
I was only able to take one shot of the [tree, rock, building...] before it ran away.
People don't know how to vote! We need a tutorial.
Everybody else misunderstood the challenge.
This could've been 1000% better with a simple Levels adjustment, but any PS is digital art.
Photography rules are meant to be broken.
It would have been better as B&W/Color.
I don't care what others think, I just submitted for myself. Why is my score so low?
I didn't have NeatImage / I used too much NeatImage.
The noise was intentional.
I didn't have a good lens.
I thought a Polarizer meant I only had to push one button.
People aren't spending enough time looking at my image.
640 pixels isn't enough to really appreciate my photo.
I couldn't think of anything better to fit the challenge for the ____ Free Study.
And the king of them all...
It's a little blurry because my lens wasn't fast enough to handle the sunset light when the motorcycle soared overhead and startled the cat that was stalking the bug on the wet flower.

Sorry, you've been undone by pre-emptive research. Of course, with only a few replies to that thread, I guess most of the voters remain ignorant of those facts .... |

I had a better shot I wanted to enter but I didn't because I knew it was too artistic and creative for dpc voters. |

I was halfway through developing my shot, when somebody opened the door to my darkroom and ruined my print. So seriously, what does the 'd' in dpc stand for? |

In that case, my flash card was unexpectedly and inexplicably nailed to a tree so I couldn't recover the shot I REALLY wanted to use.
