Didn't expect much out of this one, but I like it quite a bit -- so I'm very happy to be getting comments. I was even over 6 until the uno-bomber. :)

Good plan... I may do the same. I noticed two that I also felt must have not followed the spirit of the challenge. And for 2 completely different reasons. |

I would like to see a special Posthumous Awards thread just for this one. Post your own & your top 3 picks. It's been a treat to participate in this challenge, all along the way. |

My photo is really nothing special but i really like it; I'm trying not to look at the score but it's tough not to!
I did vote though on all photos and voted as if everyone followed the rules even those who didn't seem to follow the rules. They'll be weeded out in the end if they didn't play right plus what do I know they might have!

entries are a delight to look through.
am keeping an open mind about closed eyes - but didn't see anything flagrant. |

I know the feeling. What's with that?
Maybe they are closing their eyes when voting as well.

Would make for a very interesting result if everybody did that! (You may not like the outcome) |

Ok. seems some people think I did not follow the rules, going by a comment I got. All I did was put the camera on auto and shot off about 90 frames. Out of those, one I put the camera on the floor worked the best.(apart from getting mud on the camera). had to do a big crop, lot of work in Elements and raw, was resting the camera on the ground cheating?ah well lesson learned. |

Stats: You have rated 93 of 95 images (98%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.2151.
Didn't participate in this one unfortunately. Some real gems in this one - very pleasurable to take a stroll and vote. |

Thanks to one very appreciative (and appreciated) voter, my score went up to a decent level for a while, but it has been slipping ever since. |

I don't think putting the camera on the ground is cheating, as long as you didn't deliberate compose your shot. Maybe your editing was too good. ;) |

I don't think I would have trusted myself to put my camera down in dirt while keeping my eyes shut. But true, that is a potential answer to one of the ones I was skeptical of. |

I think your getting a bit to close to discussing individual images during voting folks. |

The SC have discussed this previously when it's happened on another thread.
There are a number of things that can be said here (and often is) that can influence votes. This includes the obvious interpretation of the topic statements, and evaluative statements about a subclass of the photos (whether positive or negative).
We think its best if people do not make comments about the photos in general, or interpretations of the theme, during the voting phase.
Thanking someone for their comment may also be inappropriate given that you may in some cases be giving away the identity of your photo, "I just got a great comment from you!"
We have not decided definitively how to act/judge these cases (for example, personally the original problem post here to keep an open mind does not seem very harmful), but in the future, we may remove posts we feel are off the scoring topic.
