Gah, my highest ranked image seems to have disappeared from this challenge. Must have been a DQ... it will be interesting to find out what happened.

I went from rating 92 of 94 images to having rated 92 of 93 images -- that means it was one of the ones that I felt DNMC... I bet they self Dairy Queened.

I take it back... Not sure which it was.

The main page says 92 of 93. The voting page says 91 of 93.

Only 7 hours to go, and I have no doubt that my final score will be around X.2, X.1 or less.
The last voters don't like my entries :)

Well, at least I really enjoyed this challenge, and got some very nice comments.

Wasn't mine, but I feel bad for the image that did get DQd. It was only one of two that got a 9 from me.

Agreed. Didn't get a chance to vote but had a quick glance before, and despite some of the negative comments here, I totally disagree with them. I loved going through these shots. The typical subjects and shots on this site get so boring, this was refreshing, as imperfect and silly as it was.

then I suppose your faith is more beaten down than mine

When discussing the issue of faith, many would agree that willful blindness is at the forefront of the decision making process and that the ultimate desired results are based on nothing more than wishful thinking.

No beaten down anything here my friend... just an appreciation of reality as it exists.

...and the reason I truly love this site is that we can disagree with each other in a civilized manner and no one takes offence to the comments made.

I too loved looking at and voting on each of these images, albeit I honestly cannot say I shared your exuberance for them. Interesting yes, different most definitely, but definitely not one of the best challenges overall.

Ah, well, if you think you know "reality as it exists" well enough to appreciate it, then your faith far exceeds mine. I stand corrected.
