I guess you spent an awful night because of the earthquake...

Surely not the best moment for this country... :(

Glad you're ok!

I think this challenge will reach 100+ entries. I plan to offer constructive criticism comments on 100% of the images. Just a note.... I will comment in the first day and vote later, before the end of the voting phase. Thanks to all for your participation.

Unfortunately I won't join this challenge. Weather and work have been my enemies during this week. I love landscapes and Ansel Adams but I'm out. I'll vote and comment on some images...

Something happen with the resolution on my entry this time, it's pixelated, did somebody have the same issue?

I'll very much look forward to that Richard. Excellent.

Many thanks for this commitment.

Laughing at myself this afternoon. I captured an image this afternoon which I like equally as well as the image I captured on 05/15/12. (I'm on v.7 of the earlier image.) The "today" image was easier to process and may have more DPC appeal. Now.... it's a tough call on which to use in the AA challenge. Oh, it doesn't matter. I'll just go with what I've got. At some point, it comes down to my own decision. I wouldn't shift that final decision to others, even though I do so at the peril of scores.

Okay, I am in as I could not resist this one. I didn't have time to go where I wanted to for the shooting. But I did go someplace new to me and more importantly the shooting was fun even if the setting and conditions were not ideal.
This kind of processing/look drives me crazy because there are so many directions you can go with it. I have no idea if I picked the right edit, but then I never do. Reducing to 800 pixels sure kills a landscape :( Uh oh, did I give away my shot; the one that's a landscape? ;)

Good luck everyone!

I have relied primarily on the processing to reflect Ansel's style, which was more difficult than I had imagined and I do not feel I'm that close to getting it. The subject matter is not that intesting either so I'm not expecting much in the way of score or comments. However, it was a learning curve for me especially in regards to natural lighting and composition. I do enjoy learning even when I can't get the results I want.
