I'm trying to decide which of these two Sekonic meters to get. The 478DR is cheaper and a later model, and the 758DR is more expensive and has been out a while.
Have you had any experiences with either of them, if so, please share.

Well, the newer one's got Pocket Wizard remote capability built in to it, so that's a huge leap in functionality right there. Looks like a GREAT device to me. But it's been years since I've used a light meter like this, so... |

The PW compatibility is only useful if you use PW's.
I loved my L-358, which had the PW module as an option, but I never used PW's and after I sold my studio strobes, I sold the meter.
I'm sure either one will do a fine job. |

I still have my L-358. Works great. Used it all the time with my ABs and CyberSync triggers. |
