I had the chance to go to the Navy Pier today for a business trip and I had some time to snap off a few pics. Here are a few from today, only adjusted brightness and contrast, and a little sharpening, then resized.

I was on one of the dinner cruise ships so skyline shots may not be all that great.

navy pier looks a little over sharpened.

Great shots though.

I always wonder what the aliens must think when they invisibly zoom over our planet and see things lke a ferris wheel ... they must think we're frikkin' wierdo's.

Am I alone in this thinking?

nope...I wonder that too. I also wonder what they'd be thinking if they spent a day at a public high school! :o)

One I took a couple years ago.

A few years ago I had an apartment overlooking Navy Pier. In August 2002, I took this from my apartment while the Blue Angels were performing at the air & Water Show. It's not a great thumbnail, but the expanded picture is one of my favorites from Chicago.

These pictures bring back so many memories!!! I remember, when I had just gotten out of bootcamp, me and some friends went to the Navy Pier in uniform cause we still weren't allowed to wear civilian clothes and some one asked us if there was a ship in port!!! LOL. Can you believe that??? We just said no and kept walking laughing our butts off. I guess they didn't know much geography.
