i may be pulling my images off facebook and sharing the links too them. the quality sucked to begin with so this is probably the push i needed.

then again, my clients already have a copy of the proofs which are watermarked, so its not like they don't already have access to something i haven't given them already.

i also love how reading their terms, they attempt to absolve themselves of any copyright infringement.

Facebook does downgrade image quality and file size with their resizer to "display" quality. That's a lot less quality than "print" quality. Although, some images would print okay at sizes for mugs, mousepads, key tags, iphone covers, etc. The photos-at-my-door app also advertises prints up to 20"x30" and canvas prints up to 20"x30". Those bigger prints from a FB display image will look poor.... with many compression artifacts, like pixelation and posterization. I am not defending Facebook! However, anytime one posts an image on the Internet.... anywhere, including DPC..... there is the risk someone could download the image and put it on their coffee mug, or their key tag, or somewhere small.

SOLUTION: Top right of your FB page, there's a little roundish icon to the right of your name.

Click on that .... for a drop down menu;

Click privacy settings. Then in the far left column, click Apps, then towards the bottom, Apps Others Use and UNCHECK photos. (I have all the apps unchecked).

I am not sure, that is all I have found for now. I plan to have my daughter (who has no pictures) do some testing with me tonight. I will report results when we finish!
