My closest was 343.552 km - I went for New Mexico instead of my second choice Texas.
It's fun for a geography buff.
OKay - second game, my closest was 210.378 km without help (Northern Territory). But with Googling, I got within 0.12 km (Newport, Oregon). Funny, I got two roads in Botswana when I guessed Kenya.

Slowly getting better.... up to 12353 points this time.
Fabulous game, I'll have a hard time tearing myself away from this one.
13429 without any help/cheating or even much searching for clues. I really need to turn this off soon LOL

| i came with 1.5k of one spot, they gave me a sign that had the town name, lol, of the others they threw me in the middle of no mans land, no signs, nothing to distinguish what continent i was on, i may as well have been in the desert, in fact i think i was at one point. |

just got 20,497, the last one though stuck me in an are filled with snow and i could move down any street :(i guess Canada at it was in Russia...
all my other guesses were spot on.

32,392 points - First try. Took about an hour though.
Challenge me if you dare - I was 15 meters away twice, and 9 meters away once - so there's some chance to beat me, but the other two were 1 meter away, and I think that's about as good as you can do.

As a hint sheet for those who want to try to beat me:
1. Look for a trailhead
2. An old signpost points the way
3. A real challenge, look for road sign with a distance of 19km to a town - then use this radius to locate intersection
4. Biggest challenge - note road signs, use shapes and numbers/letters to find state, then find roadsign with town name. Explore the area along known road number, and locate appropriate intersection.
5. A town commons posting board is your key here |
