Try reversing the type out (make it white). Actually, I really like the drawing, though I'd also suggest making the "accent lines" outside the circle just a little bolder. :-)

I've managed to get back on top of my work so I'm able to make some small contributions again via my longer comment series. I scored 73 images at 7 or above. Of those, I gave out three 10s:

Thanks Don! I almost entered this conforming to the Minimal rules, but I decided to crop to a square and almost nothing else.
I suspect Langdon's been scanning my drive for challenge ideas again, since the "Overexposed" challenge popped up the week after I took this.

And then I got a laugh as I was helping Ja-9 get her entry uploaded and titled when people were having connection problems -- it's enough to make you believe in coincidence ...
