Hey folks,
A family member of mine wants to print a canvas of an image with a size of approximately 60 x 40 inches.
What's the minimum pixel count and file size I would need for this print?
At 300dpi, it would require an unattainable 18000 x 12000 pixels. Without upscaling, how low can I drop the dpi and still maintain appropriate resolution for this canvas.
View distance will be approx 3 feet. |

| Canvas has shit resolution anyway... Your 7D will be fine. Just try to not crop heavily. |

| Canvas on Demand asks for 150 dpi for their files. |

| 150dpi is acceptable for paper prints (to be sold to the public) here at DPC prints; canvas should have an even higher tolerance. |

| I've regularly done canvases at about 120 dpi and they look fine. |

With the sellers that I work with, th eprofessional photo books or coffee table books for brides are printed in 200dpi, and thei are seen really close. The canvas sould be fine with 100 dpi.

| 150dpi is the best for canvas photo print and it looks fabulous. |

I have a 7'3" x 4' image printed on canvas at 300 dpi.....
It looks fabulous!
