I love macro photography but was not really interested in this challenge because I prefer outdoor macro. Happened to be at my daughters after a morning of walking around a park to test out the lens that came with the E-M5 I just picked up. Did not really care about getting the lens with the camera (mostly use adapted manual focus lenses) but it is weather sealed so I can shoot in the rain with it. The lens has a macro function that actually allows for some really close focusing. Anyways, I was messing around at her house with the lens and got a really good indoor macro that seems to be liked by the voters.
This is refreshing because I have made the commitment that in 2014 I am going to enter images that I really like, not what I think will score well here at DPC. My photographic vision seems to be different then what scores well here and at times when looking at two images I would pick the one that I felt would score better over the one I like more. |
