Yeah, I had a very happy first or second voter - not so much now :)
eta There are lots of interesting takes on the theme, though, and some very nice shots. It's going to be fun to vote.

I had the same thing, started very low below a 4, and now its higher now.. Finally am able to see the voting thinggy!
I got my favorite votes in for the pictures I really enjoyed on there, a lot of creativity for it which is great to see.
On my photo now...

The first score I saw was 3.25. It's improving, but given how poorly failtographers vote on this site, that won't last.

The scores for me are pretty harsh also. I hope there is a problem with the math

| this is kinda funny.. most are showing voting scores over 6 but then a lot of photos are in the 4s.. I don't think I will understand this scoring at all .. like ever.. LOL |

Just to make sure I haven't been missing something . . . there's no way to see the current score on an image that's still in voting unless
1) it is yours
or
2) someone reports the score to a thread.
Right? |

I think the scores over 6 referred to people who were reporting the average vote they had given.

Got it. And of course the vast majority of entrants and voters do not participate in the scores threads - I take these threads as mostly a vehicle for chatting back and forth :) |
