This is how I interpret it...
Windows (the glass kind) · Advanced Washing
This week it's Art's windows. Your challenge is to visit Art's estate and wash his windows. Make 'em shine! |

Would stain glass windows count ? We have some really beautiful windows in our area of stained glass windows
I am kinda getting confused now but that's not hard to do LOL

Yes. Any image that has a window as a primary subject will meet the challenge. Finding an interesting picture of a window is the real challenge.

I'm not doing too well on the "meet the challenge descriptions" lately, but I'd say any picture with a glass window in it will work. |

How do you expect to get a usdeful answer without polling the entire pool of potential voters. Every voter will have their own interpretation, and the opinions you get in a thread like this will not necessarily reflect how the voters will respond.
Actually, I think this is one of the clearest descriptions we've had -- it should be a window in a building which has glass in it, and the window itself should be the subject of (or at least play a prominent role in) the composition. It is likely that anything else will get a positivc response fromm a small minority who appreciate out-of-the box or lateral thinking, and be dinged by the majority who vote the description more literally.
In my opinion, of course ... a review of my own entries may reveal how much I care how the voters vote ... :-) |

| When I initially read the challenge description (albeit not very closely) I thought building windows were mentioned as an example of the type of windows that could be used. Re-reading the description the building part seems more like a mandate for the type of windows. So, now I have pictures that prominently feature windows (the glass kind) but are not the building kind -- so likely not worth entering. Yes, I am just another idiot that failed to carefully read the description before heading out to shoot. I bet you are tired of hearing that story aren't you, Mr. Smarty-Pants? |

To tell the truth I didn't understand that description... that's why I didn't take a shot for this challenge. |

I think the point of the description's specificity was to eliminate the several eye ("window on the soul") macro entries, or a metaphoric "wondow on the future"-type interpretation, but to have just to shoot a literal window which has/had glass in it. |

The glass reference was to specify the type of window. The condition of the window, is immaterial. Apparently, as stated before, it's a literal and not a figurative, metaphorical window. |
