I had a great start also. Work and computer issues have brought my photography to a screeching halt. Hopefully there will be more time this summer.

My Gun entry is ~0.1 below my average, but my first round competitor didn't submit anything. So, I've got a Avatar entry in and am ready for round 2.

My score was well below my average, too, but my first round competitor did not post an entry, either. It's a tough way to get to the next round.

First of all, congratulations to the 14 people who beat their average and particular congratulations to

vawendy who in addition to taking the Blue and despite having one of the highest starting averages still managed to beat it by more than a full point.

Many of us were fortunate and despite being well below our average got a free pass because of non-submissions (for this tricky-to-find-a-subject challenge).

macwilyum, and the two of us were recently assigned to the same TPL team. My Avatar is currently above my average but at the rate it's falling it may not be for long. The last vote received was a 1 -- somebody really didn't like it.

And even though I finished a full half-point ABOVE my average with a 7th place in "Guns", danged Wendy annihilated me with her blue ribbon shot. Had I beaten her, I'd have had to face Jcar this week, and try to survive the Nelson 1-2 punch...

jcar who did a bit of giant slaying with a massive 0.9704 increase over his starting average. Given your opponent (and their scoring prowess), I think a bit of gloating is in order!

Remember, we will need to submit for Parks as we won't know if we are through until rollover next week.

The next round will be a triplet and a pair. If I go through to the next round, I'll put myself in the triplet, if not - I'll flip a coin as to whether it will be the 'top' three or the 'bottom' three on the list above.
