Just thought I'd share. There was some discussion a while back on the merits of black and white photography, a medium I quite enjoy. I've been messing with my polarizer that I got for Christmas and today's deep blue sky and great clouds offered some chances to play with good amounts of contrast.
Ascent and Clouds
I'm itching to get an F717 when I get the money! My S50 continues to surprise me, though. |

Very nice... Both are very strong B & W images... BTW there is not a B&W mode on the F717. Keep up the good work.

I really like Ascent. Great exposure. Someting about the clouds in that one adds drama. Very nice, indeed!

| These are both terrific shots but, the Ascent is my favorite. You should have entered it in the perspective challenge though, I would have given it a 10! The composition is perfect and it is so clear with great contrast. |

I agree with Annida. I find the walls in Ascent a bit too bright.
