Very handy - thank you.
I think I'd find it easier to follow with full length photos of the model holding the tripod as well as the feet/ legs ones which are already shown but it's still very useful.
We do have a (cheap) monopod as well as our (cheap) tripod and I have always had problems using it.
Will give these ideas a go.

Would you recommend using a head with the monopod ? Would seem to allow more options for holding/ positioning it more 'tripod-like' if you could adjust the head angle - the example monopod doesn't seem to have an adjustable head on it...just curious. |

The article states up front that you should use a ball head. It would seem the only way it would help you out at all.
I have friends that always carry the mono, even if the tripod is avail. too--use it as a walking stick and are always ready to steady the camera. |
