Actually my vote is Wood Spider...we've had several over the years....
They don't spin a web but can move at the speed of light (not really but their super fast). I had them as big a my hand (total hand...not just the palm). They "crunch" when you can finally hit them...

When we built our house they loved all the nooks n crannies...for the first month after we moved in we killed at least 1 per day...I didn't think I'd ever get any sleep!!! |

His size is one reason I did not think it was a huntsman Spider.. It did come to my mind, This photo did not show it well at all... but hes soooo small for what they should be if it was a huntsman, unless its a baby.
I would have really loved to ID him more with more light for the color and to look at his eyes and the hair on the legs
I guess it will be a mystery after all. It was a fun guessing game thou
