I posted to FB that my family and I were in Anderson and went to bed. When I woke up this morning,  Skip had messaged me he was inbound!
We found a good spot, but then clouds showed up, so we chased the sun a few times. We ended up in a church parking lot several miles from where we started, but got some great stuff!
Here we are (I even had my DPC hat):
 
  
Not sure what I'll enter in challenges, so actual eclipse photos will have to wait.

Awesome. I like how you guys coordinated your outfits also. :P :D LOL
Good luck to ya both. I have nothing to enter, but will be voting and I am predicting a lot of VERY similar images. I hope people will find a way to distinguish their shots from the others. |

Agreed, Ken: much similarity.
But mine will be easy to spot: I took it in SC, so it'lll look different from the other states. ;) |

shades of dpc-g2gs past! there may be a few people still here that remember the levy's hosting a dpc cookout during one of the massive dc g2gs.
it was such a blast seeing jeffrey and lindsay and their kids! had it not been for jeffrey's damn-the-clouds-i'm-here-to-see-the-eclipse attitude, i probably would have stayed in one place. but no, we dashed about anderson sc like misplaced mid-western storm-chasers! and it paid off!

argh, Girish, that would have been so cool! we'll have to make that happen in the future! hope you enjoyed it. i had another friend who went down to clemson and he really had a ball. |
