I need to dig up some recent pics of myself driving my GTI at the track. That darn photo CD is here somewhere...

Here's a pic of her shortly after I bought her (sorry the photo is so large):

I have done some modifications since then (rear sway bar, new and larger intercooler, SS brake lines, chipped ECU and XM) and new wheels are on order and being manufactured at the moment. Once they are finished (sometime in mid November/early December, I can post new pics if anyone is interested. There are a few DPC folks who are into VWs but I don't know how many are VW enthusiasts.

I have the same plans as I recently bought a 1/10 scale Tamiya car body of a Golf Mk4 (similar to my car) and I was going to build an R/C version of my car, too. Trouble is since the body is no longer made I'm having trouble finding a compatible Tamiya chassis. The search continues...

I have been off those awhile...very much NOW! Bought a 1999 VW Passat for my sons mom to drive from my brother for a damn good price. Costing me now. Apparently these have what is called an interference engine (Audi has same). Wellllllll....the timing belt broke (only going 35mph...thank god) but what happens is the cams and pistons just go off and do there own thing. Ramming into each other, bending each other etc. It is a $4000 repair (new head, cams, etc.) for a $60 part that malfunctions. NICE!!!!!! no more of those for me!
