A FX Nikon camera (D750) how many of my lenses would I have to replace?
I̢۪ve found a deal in a have for a brand new one for $1,400
I̢۪ve been looking at the D500 @ $1,800
My 2 most important lenses that I DO NOT want to replace my 150-600 & 70-200
What are the pro/cons of switching? Should I? |

Looks like only your Nikon 18-55mm DX lens won't cover full frame. Certainly, with a Nikon lens, if it doesn't say "DX" then it covers FF. I am not positive about the off-brand lenses but AFAIK they're all good on a FF sensor.
Cons of switching? All your lenses effectively get shorter. Burst mode may be more limited than on the crop-sensor camera.
Pros of switching? Image quality is improved significantly.
Worth considering: cropping an FF shot down to the same area that would have been covered by the crop-sensor camera gives you very nearly the same IQ as the smaller sensor would. |

Well I pulled the trigger!!!
Nikon D750
I was looking to the D500 but it̢۪s priced $400 more. The other place I̢۪ve been watching is KEH for the D500 - it was $1,700 with no battery grip - additional $200+....so the D750 @ $1,400 seems like a deal!!! |

Now I have another question...
What do I need to look for on a lens to be sure it is an Fx lens? I̢۪m probably asking a VERY obvious question...
ETA:
it looks like I̢۪ll need to replace my wide angle...I will say that I have LOVED my Tokina 12-24mm!!! What are your recommendations to replace this lens?
