Welcome to 2019! Post your January Resolution images here.
If you haven't picked your theme yet, here's the sign-up thread.
***The only Rule***: for this challenge please state your month's "resolution" in the description field of every image you post, so people who look at your images can be reminded as to what your focus is for the month. No elaborate statement is needed, just something short and explanatory, e.g., "practicing portraiture", etc.
There are no restrictions as to how you create your images - e.g., you may decide to only take pictures of tables the whole month, but you are completely unrestricted as to *how* you achieve each image. Also, there is no restriction regarding how many people can have the same resolution - don't feel like you have to come up with something unique that no one else has mentioned yet in the sign-up thread.
As before, we don't care what lens you use (or go lensless), what camera, what photographic or editing techniques, what subject matter you choose. Share an image every day, or a few times a week, or a bunch in one go - all completely your choice. We welcome any level of participation and it̢۪s up to you how much you practice your resolution during the month

Rather rushed today so this was edited on my phone. I'm so grateful that my 80D has wifi.
Oops forgot to mention that my "resolution" is Lensbaby.

My "resolution" is my environment. Inside and outside.
We had the first measurable snowfall in a month or so last night - along with high winds and a fifty degree temperature drop. The snow is good. Ski resorts are happy. We depend on the snowpack in the mountains for our water in the summer, so lots of snow is a really good thing.
These are little snowdrifts on top of a storage building.

My resolution is Macro.
An old southern tradition - eating black eyed peas on New Year's Day for good luck.

January side challenge. My theme is dogs and cats. I thought I would start out with the old man of our group. Tank. He is almost eleven. |

Use the real camera. (Not that I have anything against cell phone cameras - I LOVE mine - but I do have this nice real camera I should use once in a great while....)

I bought a lens ball and this is my first experimentation with it. There were a couple I liked better, but this one fit my macro theme. I've seen some nice photos using this technique. I'm still at the bottom of the learning curve.
