I'll be in Escondido (just north of San Diego) for work next week, Sept 16-20, and may be in Ca over the weekend, to go to Santa Ana and Victorville the following week. Anyone in the area that would like to try meeting up while I am there?

Whenever I get sent! It's hard to predict. I am product support for a line of wide format printers. Trips for escalated issues often are with only a few days notice.

Last time I was in the northeast (sort of) was Pennsylvania and Virginia last winter. I tried to get together with Nikonjeb while there, but it's hard to coordinate during the workweek. Occasionally I will have multiple missions and be someplace over a weekend, like a few weeks back when I got to meet Kirbic and MarkWiley in Chicago.

I think you will be heading home just as I get there.

If a meetup doesn't come up with someone, my plan is to visit the Borrego Springs scultures saturday around golden hour. I've wanted to see this for a while, but it is just far enough from Escondido, that it's impractical to get there on a weeknight after work.

Sunday I need to drive from Escondido to Santa Ana, so my plan is to go up the coast and probably stop at Corona Del Mar beach. Looks like some of the interesting rocky seashores with tidepools that I don't have in Texas and Arch Rock should present some good golden hour landscapes.
