We went back to the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, TX today. What a glorious day for being outside! The weather was perfect, the kids behaved themselves, and I got a few shots I actually like! Here's a teaser...

Laurel, you have some fine pictures in your gallery. I'll only comment on one. Your shot of the Crowned Crane is super sharp and well defined, and I was drawn to it immediately. My suggestion: Keep the head and upper body of this beauty. Since, (unfortuately) the feet went missing, he needs to be cropped a bit more to make him extra gorgeous.
Sounds as if you had a great day at the Zoo today. |

| A memorable series of shots. My favourite is the third of the bald eagle portraits. The lighting on this is excellent and there is a good diagonal through the composition. The cropping is well done giving weight to the subject so that one is impressed with a sense of the bird̢۪s size and power. |
