hey all ..
this guy Alex Kilbee came into my utube yesterday and i'm loving his videos .. i watched three today ..
he's not really out there online but this is one link i found to stuff he does .. Muse Portraits

i have been feeling extremely uninspired and uncreative re my photography for quite a while ..
its like same old .. same old .. being in a rut .. losing the passion .. :(

so it was great that the three videos i watched today seemed to speak to the difficulties i'm having ..
i would probably not be alone in wanting to grow and develop creatively in photography .. which is why i'm sharing the three videos here with you guys .. you'd probably find more that would appeal to you as well in his channel ..
hopefully there will be something in my post that ppl will resonate with ..
from roz .. :)

3 Simple Reasons Your Photos Don't Get HELPFUL Feedback.

Be Like A Child, Take 'Lazy' Photos (And Be More Creative)

Why Do YOU Take Photographs? Are They Required To Have 'Purpose'?

edit to say .. ... i'm watching this one now .. and its something i struggle with ... maybe you would too ..

Coincidentally I was watching some of his videos yesterday, but I haven't seen those yet. I certainly plan to watch them when I've got some free time.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ros, you have no idea how much this helped me. I have been in a photographic funk for awhile. I was traveling to my daughters graduation and took lots of graduation pics nice but very uninspiring. I watched some of these very stimulating and different lessons and was inspired by the different approach. I am very happy with the images I took after freeing myself of trying to get images like the ones I see from other photographers.
I also keep seeing your kindness to others, in your comments and your ability to share your knowledge and beautiful images, thank you for your kindnesses.

i'm really glad you guys got something out of the videos .. :)

i actually put the lensbaby on my full frame because of watching them .. and stopped stressing that i would miss out on a great photo opp because using the sweet 35 is extremely challenging .. and i miss more shots than i nail ..
also it has made me relax more about entering the challenges .. not worrying too much that what i like may not appeal to the masses .. and that not doing awesome in a challenge here is not the end of the world .. in fact it doesnt even come close ... !! .. ;)
in a week or even a couple of days i will have forgotten a less than awesome result in a challenge ..

in saying that .. i was doing quite well in the unofficial dpc point & ribbon race for a while .. 4th to me was pretty cool .. but i'm being overtaken by some amazing photographers .. and kudos to them .. so i'm not 4th anymore ..
of course as the year progresses it will sort out the wheat from the chaff .. me being the chaff .. ;)

anyway ... i'm just happy i could share something that impacted me in a very positive way .. xx
