when I download to Bridge , I get 2 shots of the same thing. I am only shooting in RAW, so it will go =
IMG_8718.CR2
IMG_8718-1.CR2
That was not so cool when I had 1005 photos from the other night.
And I am pretty sure it is user error, just never happened before with CS5.

That was my thinking too, but I don't know how it is doing that, I just can't think how it is set up to do this. I will ponder some more. |

It's a known glitch in the latest version of bridge. Adobe have so far ignored requests to fix it. It happens when you use Bridge's photo download software, which anyway I think is a terrible idea.
Just create a folder on your PC for photos, create a new subfolder with date/description each time you download, then drag and drop the files from your card to the new folder. It only takes a few seconds and it is foolproof. I can't stand download utilities and have never used them in all these years, after trying a few. |

I don't use Bridge but in Lightroom in Import Window there is a File Handling section and "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates" option needs to be ticked. Maybe something like this exists in Bridge? I also try to remember to reformat the card as soon as I imported and backed up all files. |

And that is exactly what I am doing-using the Bridge download Bear!!!
That is completely daft that they do not fix that problem. There must be a million other 'Juliet's" out there wondering what the heck is going on and why it is happening.
Luckily I have an awesome group of experts that can help me out, that alone is worth triple the price of DPC membership! Thanks Bear and MargaretNet. |
