While AI creations scare me, because it's really easy to create things better than what I'm trying to sell (and it still seems like you're using someone else's work), I'm finding some incredible uses, as well.
Have you played with the Photoshop Beta? I haven't tried doing any AI creations, but I have used it extensively in a couple of ways.
1. generative fill is SOOOOOOOOO much better than cloning, patching, spot healing -- and so much faster!
2. It's incredible at extending the canvas when you haven't left enough room. I didn't realize that it also gives you 3 choices. If the first one doesn't look right, check the other 2.
Topaz Gigapixel AI
I've been trying to sell my work at art shows. I'm not creating enough new stuff right now, so I'm going back through old DPC favorites and printing those. However, I've managed to
1. screw up and save the resized 1200px version instead of the full res
2. Lose two years worth of photos, so only have the DPC 1200 version still on DPC.
I have just rescaled a 1200px photo up to 16x20 and it prints beautifully. It makes it much easier to steal ones photos, so I'm going to watermark everything I put out on social, but it's saving me. I'm excited about the one I just printed!
Topaz AI sharpening has been wonderful. I'm not using the newest, but even the previous version is incredible.
I'm happy using these tools, because it is my own work, or saving me a lot of time in doing the same thing to my own work that I would have to do manually with the same result.
