I googled Tal photography, I looked up the Tal I challenge, and I have no indications on what this challenge is all about. Help?
Never mind me. I see that it is Tall. (facepalm)

Tal was a brilliant attacking chess player, part of the infamous Soviet chess team that Fischer had to take down to become world champion. He's known for making dubious sacrifices that rattled his opponent. He also is credited with this amazing quote:
"You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one." |

My father was an enthusiastic chess player. He named our dog Tal. |

Especially if it's the tall tail of a cat hunting in the grass, and then you can entertain us with a tall tale of how you got the shot :-) DPC at its finest, that would be...

Very brave of him to name your dog after such a wild attacker. |

Poor Tal didn't last too long. He tried to attack a passing car. |

not to make light of it (I know how painful that loss can be), but Tal was known to make dubious attacks.
I would name a dog Petrosian, a solid defensive player. |

And if it was weird-looking and someonr asked "what;s that?" you could answer "That's my Pet ..."
FWIW when I was a kid our local public television station aired a program on chess with George Koltonowski (sp?) and the newspaper ran a daily problem/lesson In the sports section ... I never really played though ...
