I take a photo of a lovely sunset on the beach and title the entry with; "I love this sunset tonight". 5 words. Is ILTST in the "5 Letters" thread? :-P

I think the idea is that you have to use the EXACT PHRASE which answered a 5-letter prompt in the thread, many of which would probably fall into the realm of surrealism ...
For example:

A simple database query of the thread should find ILTST quickly. Or maybe each submission should have the post# of the reply they are depicting?

Or ... if I wanted, I could use that same lovely sunset shot with this.

Yep. That's my new title for this lovely entry; CAPTURING LIGHT OFTEN SEEMS EXCITING.

The point I'm trying to make is that this is very similar to a Free Study. Basically, take an awesome photo, then find a title that fits it.

In its' defense (this challenge suggestion), there have been other challenges of a similar nature that this approach to entering fits; i.e. DPC - title your photo with words that fit DPC, or the Username Challenge.

I don't mind really. It's all good. If people have fun with this idea, go for it.

edit - fix a sentence.

Not entirely. I made the exact phrase up. :-)
The other one, C L O S E, was real.

This has to be presented carefully. I have it in my mental to-do list and it will be done, just not immediately. The idea amuses me, and it seems to amuse others..

Maybe there should be a restriction on using either a phrase or the response to a 5-letter prompt which you yourself have posted to that thread ...

Well that would be lousy, based on the number of participants in that thread recently (see stats posted earlier).

I meant a restriction AGAINST using your own postings ... otherwise you could just create your own title, and then (like you said) it would just become a free study.
