The kind of garbage that the MAGA extremists try to pass off is just incomprehensible and vile.

They could just go to the supermarket?

That's a Chicago Hot Dog shop, and personally, I think the sign's a swipe AT the MAGAs by a rational (and probably liberal) proprietor. As I read it, he's saying "The only "dogs" they eat are OURS!"

I'm sure the residents of Springfield Ohio wouldn't consider someone with the reprehensible taste it takes to make a joke out of this vile excuse of political fear-mongering rational.

It's in incredibly bad taste. The irresponsible lying and fear-mongering is just disgusting.

The reckless, intentional endangerment of immigrant communities is just wrong.

Period.

My daughter spent a summer studying in South Korea a few years back. We have Life360, so we can track her whereabouts, and we couldn't help but notice the one shop she was near at one point...

Warning! Some of the content is extremely upsetting.

Friend or Food?
While most Westerners view dogs strictly as companion
or working animals and find the practice of raising and
slaughtering dogs for food strange and unsettling, a large
number of people in South Korea as well as in China,
Vietnam, and the Philippines, consume dog meat. What
is considered “normal,” of course, is often a matter of
cultural perspective—especially when it comes to culinary
practices and taboos.
Extreme cruelty, however, cannot be dismissed as merely
a matter of cultural norms. The sad fact is that in many
places where dog meat is consumed, the dogs raised for
food commonly endure a lifetime of abuse and often are
slaughtered in a manner that is nightmarish in its brutality.
This is especially true in South Korea.

*Snippety-do-dah....*

Okay....

This was not about the actual consumption of people's pets.

What this was came down to a vile, disgusting irresponsible man making up a story with no thought whatsoever of the fallout and danger he was causing an entire town and the immigrant population that he is vilifying for his own purposes. He outlined his reson, to raise attention to the "immigrant problem" as the racist POS sees it.

Don't cloud the issue with irrelevant discussion about cultural norms.....this ain't it.

This is a complete sociopathic playbook move.

True! No excuse for cruelty! Now let's talk about where our meat comes from.

I agree Trump should never have grabbed a hold of what is an extremely dubious claim to use it for his campaign.... does he actually really believe it himself? if so he is an even more stupid man than I thought

Oh absolutely not. He and his mutant sidekick were both officially informed September 9th that the story was absolutely a fabrication.

The 9th.

Yet trump threw that in during the debate on the 10th????

Yeah, that's a special kinda asshole move.

Then.....Vance is on "Face the Nation" that very Sunday and admitted he made it up to "Draw attention to the border crisis and not enough people were paying attention.".

But hey, f*ck those innocent unsuspecting legal immigrants in a small town minding their own business.

We're gonna use 'em for our purposes.

The level of zero human decency is just unbelieveable.

Cephalopods are *NOT* a food group.

Goat is pretty tasty, though.

I'm well aware of how delicious goats and octopi are. But they're also very charming.

i think this attack would work better if you provided actual information and weren't insulting.

I assume that he thought the thread title was accurate, and didn't read the thread.

I'm hoping that's the case. Bear in mind that's his first post in nearly 10 years, so he very well COULD just have been doing a fly-by and noticed that pretty provocative thread title. If this weren't "Rant", I'd have changed the title... Maybe I should anyway...
