Very happy with my final image entered in the challenge but knew it might get knocked on score for not being fully abstract. I like the effect of the light lifting off the cityscape and cars and signs etc so that you can just make them out.
Here is the alternate shot I almost entered that was a bit more abstract.....

It was abstract enough for me - my favourite in the challenge. |

I would prefer your outtake. It still has a feel of the night cityscape without anything literal in it. |
