Is it still possible to have any entry looked at before submitting to see if it follows the rules? I'm pretty sure it does, but am a bit on a few of the things I did.

Yes -- open a ticket using the Help menu > Contact Us > General Inquiry option.

However, we can't promise that it will be checked (especially if close to the submission deadline), nor that the opinion(s) expressed guarantee validation.
