here is the setup for

So I set up the glass with sweets on the table and attached the bag to a tripod. I attached a few sweets also within the opening of the bag. The background was the pink/purple paper. The scene was lit from two sides and the camera placed in front. This was the static setup so did not move. The mix of purple and orange background was a "happy accident". Initially I wanted an all orange background but made that part to small for the angle of the lens so had to add the purple part.

The "falling" sweets were actually moving upwards. The sweets were stuck to the orange background, consisting of orange paper on thick cardboard with oasis floral foam behing it. You can see it in the second part of the image, i.e. the side view of the scene.

The scene was lit with flash and subsequently with tungsten modelling lights. Since the modelling lights of the flash switch off for a second after the flash, I waited a bit before moving the orange part slowly upwards.

The moving upwards took some trial and error to get the right amount of movement in the image. I did not want to get a second "ghost" image of the sweets so I had to keep moving once started. In the end the movement took approx 2 seconds of the total 4 second exposure.

The result can also be obtained with tungsten only. In that case the initial exposure just has to be longer in relation to the time for the movement.
