Dear Orwell,

Now that the abstract challenge is over, can we undisappear the thread about it?

I absolutely feel that we need a photographic definition of "abstract". I could identify the subjects of most of the images that were taken but I did not make it an issue in voting. In fact I believe it takes more creativity to take a known object and make it look different , unique, interesting and appealing.

Some on the council define this as a self-portrait, good luck defining an abstract;)

A good self portrait is not a picture of yourself but about yourself , so I agree. You can still feature in it if needed.
Here is another self portrait. It was accepted as such during my photography study.

Self portrait challenge is in the later part of submission stage. Probably have to shut this down soon-ish.
