I agonized for ages over which photo to submit.

Decided to reshoot as high-key because I couldn't get the lighting interesting enough in the low-key version without huge glare. I actually kind of still prefer the dark moodiness of the outtake.

Incidentally, I do prefer the composition of some of your outtakes - it would be interesting to see what a similar post-processing treatment would produce when applied to these. (In particular the first and last ones).

Strags: I thik you did the right choice in submitting the brighter version. It's not that good a challenge to be moody, it's hard to get emotions from a bycicle gear. You did well.
