I was torn between two photos and eventually entered one. It is currently at appox. 6.3 I am quite happy with that. If I submitted the other one do you think it would have done better? Here it is...

It would have at least been in the same ballpark. Nice shot. |

I agree with Scalvert. That shot would be pretty close to the score you have now, IMHO anyways. I love the colors.
I think I made the wrong choice yet again, going against others advise. I'm sitting at about a 5.2. This was my out-take, nothing like what I entered. I just felt the focus may have been a little soft on this one. Any thoughts?

Both are nice, but I prefer the first as the colors really make it pop. My only suggestion would be to rotate just a slight bit to have the subject being straight upright. While the second shot's subject is very pretty, the background really doesn't seem to add to the shot much.
Looks like we all might be in the same boat at second guessing our entries! :-)

Great photo, I would have rate this at probably a 7 or 8. I go through the same thing some times, looking at my photo, wavering, not submitting... What is a person to do?

Ace... the top pic... is that red wine? Crazy about that pic and must agree if tilted it would be stunning.

I think you made the right choice. The idea of sipping champagne while overlooking a cityscape is far more appealing than a bottle of champagne with some random lights behind it. |

Just for those who wanted to know what the background really was in my entry:
A hologram shaped like an owl flying. |

I should have stuck with the safety of flowers:

this was my other option for the bokeh challenge
i wonder how it would've done, given it is rather similar to the red ribbon entry :) |
