The PhotoImpact 10 30 day demo is available as a free download at //www.ulead.com/pi/trial.htm. It seems to do alot for the price.

$ 89.99 at their site //www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm

Yeah and sometimes they offer extras if you buy it from the site. I forgot about that!

Please help!

I am able to buy Photoshop 5.0 for $50 Canadian (if I hurry) from somebody who received it OEM with a camera a while ago, but already has Photoshop. It's unregistered, complete and legit. Here are my questions:

1) Can I upgrade this to Photoshop CS and how much is it?
2) Does 5.0 support RAW?
3) What's missing from 5.0 that's in later versions? Can I live without it?

Thanks!

Um...please? Can somebody please tell me if I can upgrade from 5.0 to CS?

One last bump before I lay down 50 bucks...does anyone know if I can upgrade to Photoshop CS from Photoshop 5.0?

I've looked and looked and can't find any info anywhere on Adobe's site...thanks for your help!

Okay, I fiinnnnaaaallllyyy found it...

From adobe.com:

Adobe Photoshop CS Upgrade
To install upgrade successfully, you will need a licensed version of Photoshop 7.0 or earlier on the same platform as this purchase.
NOTE:Upgrade does not apply to Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Album, Photoshop Limited Edition, or PhotoDeluxe licensed users.

I have photo shop 7.0 and I received a 30 day free trial of PS elements. I received it with a book a burchased of editing. Anyway.. I did not find many differences other than layout. One that I did find is red eye removal... I wish 7.0 had that one.... oh well just wanted to put in my 2 Cent.

I'll trade you my PS Elements 2.0 for your PS7 if you prefer, tristalisk!

I just went to my local University to purchase CS. I'm a teacher so I can buy educational versions. In mid-to late Feb. you can get the creative suite for $189! Not sure of the exact date.

I just got my copy of PS CS. My trial version has about two more days.

Is there a way to put in the license number without going through a reinstall? Seems a shame to have to uninstall and reinstall.

If not, they should take a hint from the shareware industry!

I have a 30 day trial as well and at this point I'm finding that most of what I'm doing can be done in elements so I'll spend those hundreds of dollars on a lens for now...I'll upgrade later, methinks...

What are you talking about here? I checked Adobe's web-site and there is nothing that suggests that you can upgrade from Photoshop Elements 2.0 or whatever to Photoshop CS.

You can if your version of Photoshop Elements came bundled with a Canon camera... click here for link to Adobe store

I did a check, and the same deal ($299 CS) applies if you bought a Sony Vaio that came with Elements:

//store.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml?id=catSony1002&sourcecode=94603

To find this, I went to google and entered "Sony Elements upgrade site:adobe.com"; this deal was the first link returned. You might be able to try this with other manufacturers to see if you can upgrade to CS for $299 as well.

Hi RyanE

Seriously ... I think if someone if selling a sealed version of Adobe Photoshop CS on Ebay at a much lower price, then it must be a pirated copy.

Don't do it :(
