I wish I could've entered one of these into the Architecture II challenge:
But, alas, I captured the images last night -- oh well, next time.

I think the 2nd and 6th would have scored very well,
great series.

Thanks for commenting on the images...
I'm a bit disappointed at how my Architecture II entry is doing; though, I think, the voters are right -- specially considering that there are a lot great shots in the challenge.
So, as a "second pass" at the challenge if you will, I went out last night to capture an image that could've done better than my current entry. At any rate, am happy with the images I captured last night, and would've entered this image to the challenge:
...instead of my current entry.

PS. The subject of my Architecture II entry is 100% different from the images I posted above.

I like the 5th one down the best and think it, or any of the others would have done real well.
I am suprised they let you freely take pictures their with all the parnonia about cameras.
Great shots. |

Actually, I snuck in and was there for about 20 minutes before two security guards approached me; of course, i continued doing what I was doing, hoping they weren't coming for me. But, of course, they were.
However, they simply told me that I needed to fill out a form, releasing the property of any liability, and proceeded to escort me to the Security Office. After signing the form I was permitted to continue shooting.
I was surprised that that's all that was required, since I fully expected to be escorted out of the premises -- as has happened at virtually every semi-public/private property I've photographed before.

WOW! These are amazing shots Bdobe. I've been to Union Station shooting pictures 4 or 5 times now. None of my shots look as good as these. The guards let me shoot everything in the place, they even pose for me. I guess I just don't look professional enough to harass yet. Honestly, these are great shots. What did you do with all the people? It's always crowded when I go there. |

Gringo, thanks for the compliment... I seriously doubt that I looked professional, it's just that am shady looking... kidding, of course.
It was kinda late (11.30 PM or so), and on a Saturday night no less; so the station was kinda empty. Also, the exposures were long, and the aperture small (f/16 and above), so people walking at a normal rate barely registered as blurs in the background.
