Here's the shot I'm trying to pull off. I can't seem to hold the quality through the entire depth of the photo. I'm using a point-and-shoot Sony camera with no true manual mode, so sometimes I end up figting the camera.
I used a short focal lenght to keep the object balls blury to exagerate the distance. But in doing so, I also lost some of the integrity of the photo. I didn't have time yesterday to retake the shot, but I was hoping someone could offer some pointers. I want to keep the cue ball as the focal center of the photo, but I don't want to lose the object balls. Will a longer exposure help?
Any tips would be apprecaited.

| Interesting shot and while a longer exposure would lighten it up a bit I would think you need a secondary light source on the rack of balls. The cue ball seems slightly out of focus so, with your camera, you might be a little too close to it. Just my opinion, though. |

| No manual controls makes it tough. I'd suggest lighting the area much brighter, lengthen the exposure. That should cause the aperture to become smaller, resulting in a little more depth. Keep up the good work. |

Disagree about cleaning up the cue ball - I think it makes it less of a stock shot. I suppose it depends upon what you are trying to achieve.
