Alphabet Soup: Round 2
Call for Volunteers
IMPORTANT: Read this entirely BEFORE you volunteer for this project!
The Alphabet Soup and Picture Alphabet projects that I started in December have failed initially. Several of the volunteers did not create the photographs that they committed to producing for the project. So, we need some additional volunteers.
The two projects are as follows:
“Alphabet Soup”
This project involves making a photograph of some object that starts with your assigned letter as shown in the above image. The image must be 2.75” wide by 3” tall @ 300dpi and in color.
“Picture Alphabet”
This project involves making a photograph of some naturally occurring object that looks like your assigned letter as shown in the image above. The image must be 2.75” wide by 4.5” tall @ 300dpi.
Since this project’s first deadline has arrived and it isn’t complete, I am looking for volunteers who are willing to produce the two required images and send them to me in two weeks or less. EVERYONE will also be required to fill out a new release form for this project and scan and email it back to me, or fill out the paper and return it to me via postal mail.
I need 6 additional volunteers. Once I have these volunteers, I will assign the letters in some manner like I did with the first project.
If you would like to participate in this project, please sound off in this threadâ€Â¦
John Setzler

Have you seen the children's book called "An Urban ABC", by Stephen T. Johnson. Its a Caldecott honor book. The illustrations in it are like your picture alphabet project (and they are amazing, at first I thought they were photos). It might be a great place to get some more ideas/inspiration for this project. |

The release gives every photographer who is participating in the project the right to sell the finished final presentation.

since i don't have nothing on hands to do i can give it a try... the only problem is scaning the realease form, i can try to scan it but as last resort i'll send it via mail... don't know how much time it will take but i try it out. If you get everything filled which would make it faster go ahead and put someone on my place but if not i'll give it a try for sure.

I would like to contribute if you're not "full" yet. Are we allowed to use the photos elsewhere? (Not for sale, but just to post in online galleries, PaD's and such?) |

This doesn't look like an easy assignment but I would like to give it a "shot".

Horizontal is not an option. If you look at the layout I posted in my first message, you will see why.
If you are not sure how to size the image, you can send me the original and I'll set it up for the presentation...
