What do you think of this little bird. I know it is dark, but it is hand held through my upstairs window.

Looks pretty good. Did you apply processing or sharpening, was it taken raw, etc? Closeup it looks soft.
That's a woodpecker by the way. One of those exact ones was a pain in my rear in my last house--destroyed a bunch of my cedar shakes, and wouldn't stop making holes in my house! |

Hard to handhold a 70-200 f4 in that sort of lighting. Nice picture.
This is the first picture I took with my new 70-200 (in daylight at least!)
!
Enjoy your 'L' glass lens!

awesome...having a zoom lens definately opens up a whole new world of photography! here's my latest, second time out with the lens...75-300 (el cheapo) though.

I had to crop, dodge, adjust levels, adjust brightness and contrast, I did not sharpen and will try that. Thanks all for the comments.

For an unsharpened image it looks fine then. (That's why I asked.)
If you use photoshop, try the free 10finisher action for sharpening. I don't have the link but search the forums here, there's a link, or a quick google will find it. |

Here is the sharpened image. I am still new to Photoshop 7. I have been using Elements 2.0 until recently.
