Hi...I have finally found a Fuji S2 pro to buy and would like to get a good lense for portraits, can anyone help me with such an important decision? Thanks!

I am not terribly familiar with Nikon lenses but I would suggest something in the 50-85mm range (like a 50mm or 85mm prime). I also seem to remember them making a 135mm defocus lens that might be nice for this sort of work but it could be too long depending on where you are working and what type of shots you want (full body vs head).

The 85mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor is one of the finest portrait lenses ever made. Awesome smooth bokeh.

50mm 1.8 Nikkor

Many people here on the site have this lense or the similar lens for Canon. It's well reviewed and only $90 so you really can't go wrong.

Hey, thanks for the input! the only camera I have ever used was a crappy Sony so there is a lot of things I don't know!
