Hi Andi - what toy have you bought now!?

Mike

Can't say Mike ;) other than my 28-135 IS USM is for sale and I need to plug the gap.

OK, let me guess... I'd say it's one of: Canon 24-70, Tamron 28-75, or Sigma 24-70. But that would leave about 70mm at the high end...??

...Maybe not.

Len have you been reading my wishlist?
03/22/2005 02:18:30 PM · #6
I just sold my Canon 28-135 to buy the Tamron, which is faster (albeit w/o IS...) and (to me) sharper. I also have the Canon 70-200 f/4 which covers the 70-135 range.

I would have preferred the Canon 24-70, but can wait.

Maybe I got a bigger bonus than you? The beauty of this update button is at the end of it I'll get an 8.9 - according to Mr Miranda ;)

Bread and milk for tea again tonight.

Jeez, what an entry into the forums Jane - there are spies everywhere (but welcome anyway) guess I should be on my best behaviour now?

you should act like a gentleman at all times not just when I'm here....so go on then what have you ordered?
03/22/2005 03:53:04 PM · #13
There are enough clues in the thread Jane (and I think I've mentioned it to you). Didn't you notice me jumping up and down at work today? (just before Graeme passed me 'the envelope')
03/22/2005 03:56:55 PM · #14
I wasn't at work today....how could you not notice & you know I don't listen to you!!!

This is fascinating. Keep going ...

Thanks for giving it away Mark!
Jane, I never noticed, too busy working hard to look up from my monitor (and drooling at the red ringed beast)

hard work...you..sounds like you were somewhere else today as well!
no I do have vague recollection of you mentioning it but I thought you were helping me choose my next lens but no you have to go out & buy it first...think you should spend some of that bonus on a sherpa to carry all your lense's before you do your self an injury
