Night match this time. Images have turned out a bit grainy/noisy as I used ISO 1600 to get a faster shutter speed. Would love it if anyone has time to have a look, honest critique appreciated. Should I use something like neat image in the editing?......only editing done so far is levels and curves as the shots were fairly dark.

Nicely done. I ran into the same dark photos when I tried to shoot match last Fall in the dark. Ended up tossing about half the shots. Especially the ones where the ruggers weren't on my side of the pitch. I'll try the ISO 1600 next time. There seems to be some jaggies, but that might be due to the formatting of the website you're using.
If you get a chance check out my photos from this past weekend at the Savannah, Georgia rugby tournament.

Some nice shots. Unfortunately we can't play rugby in Scotland. There were a few rugby shots from an American member recently, and I think my comments are the same - difficult to get fully atmospheric shots in minor games due to sparse crowd, etc. The widest aperture possible on your lens will help throw the background out of focus, or you can try PS bacckground blurring tools.
