My photo is nothing much at all in the thumbnail, but stunning when you see the whole thing.

I bet it would be doing a whole lot better if people had to actually LOOK at it first before they hit a number and move on.

You can only change your votes on the thumbnails after you have already voted on it fullsize.

I thought I woke up and missed a whole week. All I saw were bugs and I had the horrible feeling I submitted to the wrong challenege.

I think most people will chalk this one up as a loss. But I don't figure its a loss. From my first challenge I have went from a 4.6 to a 4.8 and in jewelry I am at a 5.3 and hanging to a 5.1 with a "weird" photo. So all in all I am glad I have stuck to the challenges.

I doubt I will try the "mood" challenge no really good ideas. Hoping for this Invitation challenge on Friday.

After dipping below 5.00 over night I'm glad to see my entry staging a mini comeback.

My number of comments is below average for this time but they've been high quality in terms of feedback.

I have yet to finish voting and will revote again probrably 3 times. And then comment. I think these big challenges take a bit for the masses to vote and then update their higher ones.

thanks to all who commented on my pic. It wasn't exactly what the challenge asked for. But maybe we can have a Minimalism II. Give us another chance, but lets see how this turns out. It was my first picture also so I am excited for the future challenges.

I'm still holding at just under 6. 12 comments!!!

I just voted on about 1/2 the entries...i see several commonalities that I find interesting / disturbing:

many many centered compositions. What's up with that?
many shots of birds (and other critters/moving objects) that are shot so that the subject is moving out of frame more than into the frame. This is generally a compositional no-no, and to see several examples of it and very few 'correct' ones leaves me wondering - why?
Lastly, never saw so many snails. From my expereince, snails are not a high-score getting critter.

Many very good entries though, many average, few bad ones (percentage wise). This might be a high scoring challenge.

It's not a brilliant score, but I was kind of expecting it... Though I believe it's a solid image, I realize it's not the most interesting subject... Oh well, at least I can't complain about the comments...
Thanks to everyone that has already left a comment - they are always welcome and appreciated...

Ugh... down a full half a point since this morning, and only have 156 votes. The 15 comments are nice, though, and the favourite makes me happy :)

I'm still voting...I think I've just now hit my 20% mark...but that is ok...I did not enter the challenge but I'm taking my time and trying to comment as I go. I have seen some stunning photo's and can't wait to see them all...good luck to everyone!!!!

I'm getting a better camera soon - hopefully that will help with the issues i've had in the past with mediocre scoring. Some of my photos have sucked, but sometimes quality is an issue.

I thought the opposite - low scoring. I'm about halfway through and there were a few standouts, but generally seemd like people were either so focused on meeting the challenge, they forgot to take a good picture or they disregarded the challenge details altogether.

Hopefully the best are in the next couple hundred I will face.

Wow...after getting 6's & 7's through the whole voting, someone just gave me a "2". I'm feelin' pretty good about my score as it is my highest ever, but a "2". It ain't that bad! Oh well, that's what makes the world go 'round. Everyone has a different view.

Can anyone tell me how to review the comments attached to the picture I submitted. Do you have to wait until voting is over?

Hi Lori, If you are a paying member ($5 a month or $25 a year, I believe), you get a little window with an UPDATE button, and the ability to view comments received during the challenge. Otherwise I think that yes you do have to wait until the challenge is over. The price of membership is well worth it, hope you'll join. Either way, welcome aboard.

Thank you for your input. I'll have to join then.
