If we could get our hands on (and expose) this top-secret algorithm, we could be millionaires!!!!

So if a member voted nothing but 1's or nothing but 10's, those woudl get tossed; so, presumably, would the votes of someone who scored all 1's and 10's, nothing in between. None of us know exactly what's being "hunted", but the end result is you always wind up with fewer votes tallied, by some small percentage, than the number yous aw just before the voting closed.

Robt.

I didn't know this, but this is good to hear!

can you please explain what this means..?... i'm fairly new to this site... and while my minimalism scores are o.k... it's my moods scores that are up and down, i find the night raters are VERY hard compared to the day....
thanks

Interesting...I find my overall scoring pattern seems to go up at night and down in the morning and then slightly up in the afternoon and into the evening. That's upstate NY time.

I'm in australia, so that would have to nearly work out the same time as my night your day and vise versa wouldn't it..?.... but your pattern seems pretty much the same as mine....

Well my score isn't anything to write home about but I have 5 favourites so I am completely thrilled, as that means 5 people saw something that I thought was there. I'm especially happy because I really thought this photo would do poorly even though it's my favourite entry to date. This has taught me that I need to take more chances and it has also inspired me to wipe my portfolio and start fresh.

A perfect testament to never knowing what others see in a shot.
5 favorites? That's AWESOME - a winner in my book! Congrats.

(be careful with the coffee table - they aren't built like they used to be)
