(Oops that should be 'first framed print'.)

I've put a frame around my Gin and Tonic.

It's the first time I've put a frame on a shot, so I'd welcome comments and suggestions for improvement.

TIA

This really is an awesome print. It's certainly one I could see hanging on my kitchen wall. Show us a picture of your final product in its hanging place :)

I think the border is beautiful (so is the picture). One suggestion: make the top margin the same size as the side margins, the bottom can stay as is. I think that would improve it.

I'd agree, except the bottom will have to be a little larger to keep the aspect ratio (basically, move the image up).
For my framed/titled images I usually have the top and sides the same, with the bottom filling it out to the correct size. I've also been trying (when possible and aesthetic) to put the title low enough on the bottom that people can cover or trim it if they want, and still have an even border.

That's a great tip - thanks. As you pointed out, I was trying to maintain the aspect ratio, but keeping the top and sides the same size and having a larger bottom border hadn't occurred to me. I'll give it a try.

And thanks to all for comments.
