So I got this capture today and I just think it has so much potential for a print i can hang up somewhere. I don't know how I want to crop it so I figured I'd see if anyone had any good ideas. It would have to be a printable crop. A boarder could be added to fill in I guess. Thanks!

Nice sharp shot! I sort of like it as is...but maybe a slight chop off the left?

Thanks! I think it needs something though... I'm also working on a series of this bug on purple flowers that I could make into a 3 frame thing but i'm not sure how to do that... I will post the shots for that when I finish editing.

ooo I like that! Not sure about the saturation but it sure does pop better that way.

These are already pretty heavily cropped (about 1300 square each) so I was hoping to put them together somehow. The middle one i'm not sure is up to snuff but I didn't have another contrasting picture for 3 frames, maybe it could be done with 2?

Anybody else have a different version or some tips for putting the other three shots together?

Kyebosh,

On the left photo, I would crop out the other flower that appears in the top right corner of the image, since it doesn't add to this image of the small bee on the flower. In the second image, it would have been nice to see the front of the bee as opposed to the back of it and I would definitely sharpen it if you can since the focus appears soft. To make a nice three series of these photos, I would flip the far right image horizontally, so that the image points back towards the other two and thereby creates a frame just using the images themselves.

thanks for the ideas ponder. i think I will try to reshoot some to get more pictures at the same place. Hopefully there will be a little bee there again!

Great Photo! If I were to crop the photo this is what I would do and I'll explain why...

I would crop the bottom 25% of the image. Your subject is in the left third of the image and if you were to crop 25% from the bottom the stems of the plant will naturally draw the eye to the upper left portion of the image where your subject is. There would be great flow and movement in the image which would create an interest from any viewer subconciously.

I would not crop anything at all from the left side of the image. I feel that you need that space there to balance out the picture. If you were to crop from the left, the picture would be unbalanced and become too busy and distracting for the eye resulting in lost focus for the image and the eye would be always wondering around the image.

I hope that these idea's help. I would be nice if you could repost another forum and show us what you've decided to do! Good luck!
